Skill Development Training for Employees Held at NWU

A training program on employee skill development, professional conduct, duties, and discipline was held at North Western University (NWU), Khulna. The training took place on Tuesday (20 January) at 3:30 p.m. in the university�s administrative building at Sonadanga Mor, organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

The Honorable Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, attended the program as the Chief Guest, while the Registrar of the University, Dr. Sheikh Shafikur Rahman, was present as the Special Guest. The session was chaired by the Director of IQAC, Md. Anisur Rahman, and the program was conducted by the Additional Director of IQAC, Md. Mehedi Hasan.

The training featured valuable guidance from resource persons including the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Farzana Akter; the Additional Director of IQAC, Md. Mehedi Hasan; and Assistant Registrar, Sheikh Maksudur Rahman. Conducted in three sessions, the training focused on skill enhancement, professional behavior, responsibility, and workplace discipline through practical, participatory, and highly interactive discussions.

Each session became lively and effective through active participation, question-and-answer segments, and experience sharing by the participants. The speakers highlighted modern work culture, office etiquette, service quality improvement, and the importance of teamwork, providing direction to enhance the professional competence of employees. At the end of the training, certificates were distributed among the participating staff members.

The organizers expressed optimism that such training initiatives would further strengthen employees� skills, morale, and institutional commitment, and reaffirmed their intention to continue organizing similar developmental programs in the future.
