Shape the Future of Health with a Master of Public Health (MPH) Program

Public Health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and communities through education, research, policy-making, and preventive strategies. It tackles health challenges by addressing the broader social, environmental, and economic factors that impact well-being—ensuring health equity and sustainable solutions for all.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a globally respected professional degree that prepares individuals to lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in the field of public health. North Western University (NWU) offers a dynamic MPH program designed to meet the growing demand for skilled public health professionals committed to building healthier communities.

Since its inception in 2016—and the resumption of academic sessions in 2024—the Department of Public Health at NWU has welcomed a diverse group of students from various academic backgrounds. The program equips graduates with the competencies to assess, manage, and solve complex public health issues using interdisciplinary knowledge.

MPH graduates will be able to:

  • Evaluate biological, socio-cultural, environmental, and policy-related factors affecting community health—both locally and globally.
  • Apply evidence-based approaches and public health tools to prevent disease and promote wellness.
  • Work effectively across sectors to address health disparities and lead change.

As global health challenges continue to evolve, there is an increasing demand for trained public health professionals at all levels—in government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), international agencies, and development partners. Now is the time to be part of this transformation.

Join the MPH program at NWU and become a catalyst for positive health outcomes in your community and beyond.
