A warm and hearty welcome to our Department. We want to join as an effectual body in the country to establish a developed, impartial and sustainable society. Following this view, we are committed to welcoming and introducing applied economic knowledge to develop our society. This department has modern facilities, teaching, learning, and effective research tools to explore new challenges and applied knowledge to develop society in an economically and environmentally sustainable way.

This department offers BSS (Hons) and MSS Economics degree programs providing the scope and facilities for diverse knowledge to applied economic knowledge. As a graduate in Economics, a student will be well-skilled to grab the service role in different public and private sectors.

In the most developed and underdeveloped countries (including Bangladesh), Economics is well-known as a prestigious and innovative subject where a lot of economic opportunities and development policies can be implemented to change the vibes of a nation. In this challenging world, our world has been experiencing major economic challenges like the energy crisis, climate change, unemployment, inflation, and war. To handle this situation superbly, applied economic knowledge can ensure a lifeline to accelerate the gear of a developing country.
